This shop was transformed into C A Handley, Bookseller, for the filming of All Creatures Great and Small in 2020 and 2021. The bookshop appears in the background on screen every time a scene of an actor entering the Drover’s Arms is shown, which is quite regularly. During the soon to be screened series, we should be featured quite a lot as James Herriot rushes to attend an injured dog.
Emptying and redressing our windows every time they come to film is always quite a daunting task but the excitement the filming brings to the village makes it worthwhile.
