Grassington's Christmas Festivities

Grassington is a magical place to be at Christmas. With its twinkly lights, independent shops, firelit pubs and cosy cafes, accommodation from self catering to guest houses and hotels, Grassington will give you a warm welcome.

There is so much to do in Grassington throughout November and December.  Not only have we festive independent shops; warm and welcoming places to eat and drink and amazing art galleries, but our Christmas events are full of light and festive fun.

The switch on of the Grassington Christmas Lights is Friday 22nd November 2024.

Join in the fun with music entertainment 4-6pm and the actual switch on 4.30pm.

Grassington Christmas Markets are on Saturdays 30th November and 7th December 2024.

Admission to The Christmas Markets is free.

Parking will be at Grassington National Park Visitor Centre car park, Hebden Rd, Grassington, Skipton BD23 5LB. Parking fees are £2.50 for up to 4 hours and £5.50 for 4 hours and over . Card payment only.  No coaches.

It’s a local Christmas market with stalls, food and drink and music from The City of Bradford Brass Band, Tony Bailey and Paul Harper to entertain us on the way.

Come and explore the stalls full of Christmas gifts and festive food – you’ll find Fayth Seaglass, Footprint Pottery, Herd & Hive, Millie’s Brownies, Northern Lavender, Penny Haygarth childens’ book, Love Pickle, The Flower Loft, The Zero Pantry Ltd, Yorkshire Air Ambulance – and many more!

Don’t miss a visit to Santa!  His magical grotto will be at the front of Grassington Town Hall – just £5 per child!

Taking place at the same time at Grassington’s Town Hall is the Christmas Arts and Crafts Fair – admission £1 for adults.

On Sunday 8th December, book your little believer’s into Elf School.  Up at the Town Hall from 10am, would-be elves will learn all they need to know, from snowball etiquette to making magic reindeer food.  Tickets are limited though!

Grassington Singers present their All Singing All Dancing Christmas on 14th December at 3pm.

The Big Day is getting nearer so it’s time to listen to The City of Bradford Brass Band Christmas Concert on 22nd December at 7pm.

Enjoy a leisurely browse at Grassington Great and Small Antiques Vintage Fair on 8th December, 9am – 4pm.
