Explore Kettlewell

This attractive grey stone village is in a steep, narrow part of the dale, where the old coach road over Park Rash Pass from Middleham and Coverdale joins the main road up Wharfedale. Welcoming pubs, lanes to explore with rows of picturesque cottages and a beautiful parish church with Norman font.  Kettlewell is home to the annual and popular Scarecrow Festival.  Just six miles from Grassington and on a regular bus route in the summer, there are many beautiful walks on the hills surrounding this dales village, not least over Old Cote Moor to Arncliffe in Littondale. Arncliffe was used to film Emmerdale scenes from 1972 to 1975 and also, along with the lanes approaching Kettlewell, featured in the new series of All Creatures Great and Small.
